Cleckheaton U15's suffered an agonising 9 run defeat to Pudsey St. Lawrence.
Asked to bat first PSL posted a modest total of 101 -7, with some tight bowling and excellent fielding Cleckheaton we're the happier of the two teams at the break.
Pick of the bowlers was Cameron Pember with an excellent return of 4-20 from his four overs.
In reply Cleckheaton got off to their typical flying start, Ethan Lee retiring on 31 not out and he was well supported by Bilal Butt (20). Thereafter runs were hard to come by and wickets fell regularly.
Despite the almost pitch black conditions and a thunderstorm brewing Cleckheaton's tail enders tried valiantly to keep up with the run rate. However it was PSL who were victorious by a mere 9 runs and therefore proceeded to the cup final on 5th August.

Cleckheaton batted first and posted a modest 120 - 5

(Ethan Lee & Bilal Butt top scoring with 32 & 31 respectively, both retiring).
